Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer UK have a website with lots of useful information including details on signs and symptoms.

They have a risk calculator you can use to work out your risk of prostate cancer.  There is no national screening programme for prostate cancer as the PSA test  (Prostate Specific Antigen blood test) is not an accurate enough test.  You can read a useful document about the PSA test here.  Men over 50 can request a PSA test but they need to understand how the test can potentially lead to more harm than good in some individuals.

The NHS website has a page on prostate cancer here.
