Do you have Type 1 Diabetes and want to start using a Libre sensor or switch from Libre 1 to Libre 2?
Key benefits:
People who use Libre sensors have been shown on average to have significantly improved sugar levels and benefits to quality of life. You can get your finger prints back!
The benefits are so significant that now anyone with Type 1 Diabetes (aged 4 and over) can be prescribed the senors on the NHS.
Libre 2 includes optional alarms/notifications when you go high or low (you still need to scan your sensor to see what your reading is) and slightly improved accuracy.
Things to consider:
If you want to use a reader device and not just a smartphone for scanning and alarms then you will need a reader.
You can order a free new reader from this page (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
The use of third party transmitters is not supported on the NHS and may not be compatible with the Libre 2
Do I qualify to start Libre or switch from Libre 1 to Libre 2?
