Libre start or switching portal

Do you have Type 1 Diabetes and want to start using a Libre sensor or switch from Libre 1 to Libre 2?

Key benefits:

  • People who use Libre sensors have been shown on average to have significantly improved sugar levels and benefits to quality of life. You can get your finger prints back!
  • The benefits are so significant that now anyone with Type 1 Diabetes (aged 4 and over) can be prescribed the senors on the NHS.
  • Libre 2 includes optional alarms/notifications when you go high or low (you still need to scan your sensor to see what your reading is) and slightly improved accuracy.

Things to consider:

  • If you want to use a reader device and not just a smartphone for scanning and alarms then you will need a reader.
  • You can order a free new reader from this page (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
  • The use of third party transmitters is not supported on the NHS and may not be compatible with the Libre 2
